The current directory contains 426 published pages, including nationwide resources and state/DC guides for offices, business searches, elections, apostilles, notaries, UCC filings, business registration, and trademarks.
Independent and non-government
SecretaryOfStateUSA.com is privately operated. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or operated by any federal, state, county, city, or other government agency.
The eagle logo is a private brand mark, not a government seal. The website does not use an “official U.S. government website” banner, and official links are labeled and open on the public authority’s own domain.
What makes the directory different
- Exact jurisdiction office titles are preserved.
- Business filing authorities are listed separately from constitutional offices.
- Claims show source owners and source-review statuss.
- Blocked or client-rendered portals receive link-first pages rather than invented steps.
- Incomplete state-service routes remain unpublished.
Advertising and editorial independence
The project is intended to support advertising in the future, including Google AdSense. Advertising code remains disabled until a publisher identifier, updated privacy disclosures, and appropriate consent configuration are added.
Advertising must never be designed to resemble an official filing button or government action. Advertisers do not determine our route approvals or factual conclusions.
Corrections
Use the contact and correction form to report a changed officeholder, phone number, address, email, official URL, or business-search destination. Include the public source that supports the proposed change.
Current coverage and expansion standard
The current website contains 426 indexable pages. State/DC service guides are published only when the required claims can be supported by identified official sources; unsupported route combinations are not added. The long-term target is quality-based rather than a promise to publish every possible state-and-service combination.
Expansion requires independent value and complete source-backed fields. A page is not published merely because another directory uses a similar URL or because a template can be generated automatically.
